The PTO, teachers, and students need your support! You’re involvement is key so we can continue to enrich your children’s education. Please consider taking a volunteer chair position–many remain vacant! For a detailed description of each role please visit http://hillsidepto.digitalpto.com. If you are interested please contact Tracy Johnson, 2016-2017 PTO President.
Beginning this school year, parents/guardians must provide the school with a written excuse explaining why their child was absent within three school days of an absence. Hillside will accept emails from parents’/guardians’ designated email address or hand-written notes. It is important to note that the district will be sending an automated phone call and email when a parent does not send an email to the attendance email ([email protected]) reporting a student is absent. Parents may disregard the call and email if they have already provided a valid excuse to the school’s attendance office by emailing.
Leaving a message on the attendance voicemail (610) 240-1530 is helpful to the attendance office, but an email or note in writing is imperative to not have your child marked as unexcused.
Welcome back! This year, thanks to more talented and helpful volunteers on the Communications team, we will be sending the Hillside Highlights email newsletter WEEKLY! This email newsletter contains important and informational news from the school, the district and PTO. It’s the best way to keep up to date on what’s happening at HES. If you don’t receive it, please sign up for it here.
These programs are brought to Hillside by the PTO Cultural Arts Committee volunteers with funds raised during the year by the PTO. Interested parents and caregivers are always welcome to attend.
