Why not take advantage of the School Supply Kits approved by our teachers per grade level? Doing so saves time, and the kits will be delivered to school and ready with school packets. The Schoolkidz supply forms will be distributed via your child’s folder this week. The form must be completed and sent to Ina Fricchione c/o PTO via your child’s folder by June 9th. Alternatively, you can complete an online form here (enter account 10957) by June 16th. Please email Ina with any questions or concerns.
In late April, the Ad Hoc Committee for Elementary Enrollment met to discuss a framework for redistricting, including a timeline, who will perform the work, and who will be involved in the process. The committee also discussed parameters for determining which schools should be considered for redistricting.
At a previous meeting, the committee decided that redistricting elementary students presents the most timely and cost-effective means of addressing the disparity in building population and allows for uniform delivery of the district’s elementary program over the next five years. It also provides the school board with flexibility in case student enrollment shifts significantly going forward.
The School Store is closed for the remainder of the school year. Thank you for your support and see you in September!
